some tuesday things.

- i should scan this film that's sitting on my desk.

- i've uploaded some more Rave'n photos, that are well overdue. more to come!

- i need your advice on LENSES. i really need a new one(s). i use a Canon EOS 400D (or a Rebel, i think it's called in USA). i've done some searching already, but if you've got any advice- my ears are open!

- tons of london photos to show you.

- it's like autumn here already. it's rainy and i've started a knitting project. i'm wearing jumpers and my winter dresses with tights. Jenny Lewis is playing and i'm really tempted to make some apple cider.

- i'm planning a party. shhhh!

- i miss london.

- i might go make some pasta with tuna and sweet corn for late lunch.

-i have the cutest mum ever.

(we watch Gilmore Girls everyday.)

- i want to do craft fair soooo badly!

for all of the comments on my last few blog posts.

this time i've spent away from everything i know (except art) has been incredible.

it's been incredibly hard.

but it's been incredibly good for me.

and it's also been incredibly fun.

i've learnt a ton about myself and what i can manage.

and to be honest- i'm proud.

i'm still learning. i'll always still be learning. but it's one of those things that excites me!

that i can do things now and be proud of them, but still be learning.

to know that 2 weeks, 6 months, 5 years, i'll still be myself but just a better version- it reminds me that i stand by what i've always said; "I'm excited for each chapter!"

right now;

-i really want to go camping.

-i want a bear hug.

-i really need some lined paper in nice colours.

-i have a lot of things to upload/share.

-i'm back in bristol.

-i'm loving the rain.

-i need to unpack and tidy my desk.

-i'm on tumblr.

-i have three rolls of film to be developed.

-i feel okay.

do you ever...

get that feeling when you don't know what you want to eat? when nothing tastes quite right or sits properly in your throat/stomach?

get really wrapped up in a project and then can't tell if it's any good or not?

meet someone that reminds you of yourself, and then you start acting weird because you know this and are kind of embarrassed?

get really tired and start acting slightly intoxicated?

want to punch something?

get mad at yourself for something someone else is doing to you?

stop and look around?

walk around in just undies and a shirt as much as possible?

get the biggest satisfaction from using a lighter?

smile and remember that no matter what, you've got a relationship with art that (although tough at times) will be there forever and ever and fills you with happiness and ambition and admiration and passion?

eat chili con carne with salt&vinegar crisps? (so good!)

ask yourself: 'why can't they see it?'

get behind?

avoid things because you don't want to deal with them?

well, i've been feeling like this lately. 

i am also violently swinging between hating myself/body and being completely in love with myself/my life.

and then other times i just don't know what to think and can't explain anything.

go figure.

someone surprise me with niceness?

p.s. a Q about what i'm doing in 'non-internet land'. the A is i'm taking a few Short Courses at Camberwell (UAL) in Printmaking and Illustration, and i'm staying in halls. i've  had a dreadful time getting the internet to work. anyway. miracle has happened and i'm hooookkkeeddd up.

it's been a little while.

finally sorted out some internet here in lovely little Camberwell.

the short course i'm doing is great, but really intense.

it's been Robin Hood Robin Hood Robin Hood for me, this past week.

i'm going to be honest.

so. things are a little rough over here at the moment.

i'll be okay. don't worry too much. [:

i'm keeping my secrets and dreams over here for now.

i'm making art like a stupid person whose heart bleeds paint,

but i'm not at the point where i can share any.

i'm going to london for two weeks for a short course.

this will hopefully make my blogging itch come back, and produce two big projects.

i leave on saturday.

i have a new paperline and a kit that just needs finalizing (they look beautiful)!

expect that in August!

my class went extremely well.

i'm debating whether or not to run another one. i really enjoyed it.

but i don't know if i can juggle it into my schedule.

i've seen so many spiders these last few days. big ones. i don't know how i'm going to cope on my own.

i am having an affair.

with mixing paint.

and my sewing machine.

am neglecting my computer and inbox.

i am neglecting my daily art journal.

i am neglecting my camera.

i am neglecting the buttons and ribbons that look at me.

they know.

they know that they are being cheated on.

but i can't stop.

it is a beautiful time.

that magic. love is stirring. unsettled. annoying.

fighting with my emotions and health.

laughing with my tissue boxes and fine liners.

it is beautiful.

it hurts a lot

but it's the beginning of something that i've never felt before.

there are no rules.

no sizes.

no projects.

no deadline.

just messes and music and a cup full of dirty water and brushes.

*note- yes. the idea for keeping my own mixed colours in bottles is from Elsie. she's a genius. i've been putting off doing it for a long time, because i try to distance myself a little from artists i admire. but. it's just stuck with me, so i gave in.*

ok, well i'm back!

glastonbury was fantastic, there is so much to say, but right now i need sleep.
