This is a little snap I took this weekend at my parents' new house. They are fixing it up and a lot of the old fixtures and things are being updated- which means I got to run around and say 'I want that please!' like this amazing brown plastic medicine/toothbrush holder cabinet. I'll share more before photos of their cool new house later. It was built in the sixties (like my flat) but the family that lived there just didn't buy anything new since the 70's so it was a bit of a dusty timewarp (score!). I also scored an amazingly comfy arm chair. [: I need to take some better pictures of it.

Bristol Visitors to London.

My dear friend Lucy (below) took all these photos on a little disposable! I've got some snaps of my own- but I always find it interesting to see how other people 'see' places that I go/live. I had a pretty crazy weekend last weekend.I had a whole bundle of nice people come stay with me. Lucy and Laurie and I went to Portobello to eat and shop and walk and take a nice long bus ride through Londontowwnn.Negs loved all the attention, and I'm pretty sure everyone loves her too. [: And the night before Sam made us Vegan pie and mash, and then Lucy made a veggie pie with the left over pastry the next night. We ate like kings! Cheesy mash, yogurt, cereal, baked veggies and homemade hummus, salad... It was pretty amazing. (plus I didn't have to do much of the cooking! woopie!)Needless to say my little one bedroom flat fills up pretty quick when you've got 3 sleepers and 4+ other visitors! Quite a lot of good catching up and eating and laughing and naps were had.Made me miss my Bristol life of two years ago very very much. But it's also exciting to see everyone growing and learning and changing into adults (slowly but surely!) and seeing where their lives take them. [: More visitors please!!!!

The past week or so we've been working on a project based about Primordial Beings and Costumes. It's been fun and very interesting! Today we had all the finished costumes in the studio and then split up into groups to take it further. My house is a huge mess right now! But, that's a small price to pay for seeing a bunch of my wonderful Bristol friends. [: Just wanted to say that I'm alive and will be back with real updates soon. Hope you had a great weekend. kimxo

YAY! goofing around, tie dying, secret projects, listening to nice music, having a bed party which meant knitting and reading organic farming books (yes, we are secretly middle aged), playing with Negs, and tomorrow sam is going to cook a lovely vegan dinner for a couple of our bristol friends. [: i'll try and blog this weekend in between fun times and trying to make a costume for college. eep! lots of hand sewing and knitting. :D

PennyRoyal :: something from a while ago.

Some of my long-term followers might remember this band that I used to take pictures for... PennyRoyal. We did a few fun photoshoots and I designed their single but couldn't share the full design because it was still so new. But seeing as it was in 2008, and they aren't together anylonger, I thought you'd like to see the final designs.I loved working on this project because they gave me a lot of free-reign but they also had a lot of creative ideas. It was a good mix. Thought you'd like to see. [:

Did a little bit of blue in my hair again. I really like how it fades in and out, varying from navy to a dark turquoise. Why is dying stuff so fun? Tomorrow (fingers crossed) I'm going to be tie-dying with Jazz. [:

We are doing some costume making in college. I'm sort of nervous about it because I've been getting extra tired quicker lately and it's been having a real impact on my usual optimism level, which sometimes effects my work. I have a general idea of what I want to make- and if it ends up anything like what I have pictured in my head, I'll be super happy. [: Just popping in to say hi and wish you a happy first day of February.
