Looking back through this blog to create this post has made me realise how different and how similar I am from the girl who started writing here 5 years ago. I am pretty excited to sit down and do some drawing/journalling about that, actually. But for now, let's focus on the task at hand.
This year. 2012. What has it been for me? For a lot of people it's been about the Olympics. And about the Queen and about this, and that, and wow- isn't London great, or how rubbish is London. But for me- for a girl who lives, studies, struggles and loves in London... it's not been about London at all. It's been about family and health and art and knitting and loving our planet. It's been about learning and accepting and fighting and being a little bit cheeky and visiting my cousin's pub, and craft club every week, and old friends that have become better friends, and feeling too young. And feeling too old. In no particular order, it's also been about these things:
Made Videos and Home movies./Channel
Exhibited some of my knitting through college.
Craft Club every week.
Spent time with Sam, and visited the boat.
Spinning and sharing my Wool on The Wheel.
New, bigger goodsie Shop!
Craft fairs/markets in London!
Met Meredith!
Had quite a lot of Knitting Adventures.
Got involved with the Craftivists.
Dyed my hair & spent many afternoons at the V&A
Harry Potter and many fun times with Amy.
My Cousin got married and I wore braids a lot.
Hung out with this silly one.
Visited Wales, Bristol, Birmmingham and Devon to see friends
Started working at Hobzy
Learnt the Uke.
Posted some outfits.
There has been other things, too. I always find these posts difficult to write. But there it is, a year in a nutshell.
See past new years posts and Yearly Round Ups! 2008. 2009. 2010. 2011.
Happy New Year Kim! Hope 2013 is as good to you as the last one x

Sounds like a fantastic year. May 2013 be even better to you! One of my goals for this year is to get into natural dyes and finally get to know my traditional ashford spinning wheel (it's the same as yours it looks like). Haven't spun in so long and the wheel has been a bit intimidating, but no more! Did you find any good spinning websites for tips on this particular wheel?
p.s I love your blog and have your button on my blog. :)
