At the end of Summer, a dear friend of mine moved to London for reals and we went on a little adventure to a new part of town (for both of us). We stopped in at a little cafe and had yummy drinks and sweets, in between wandering around Walthamstow looking at the Art Trail. We found a beautiful part of the town, that felt like a little village. All the shop keepers were really nice and welcomed us, like we were neighbours. Something that is hard to find in the big city of London sometimes.
You can see Amy's photos here if you want to see more from the day. :]Love you, Kimxo

Some of you may be aware that there is a Warner Bros Studio Tour just outside London! Basically a dream come true. It was completely magical as I went with fellow geek, Amy, and we spent the whole time with our eyes as wide as saucers, quoting the books and movies at each other. I even dressed up a bit. haha! Unfortunately I lost ALL of my photos from this day during a horrible hard drive failure. Luckily, Amy still had all of hers. Phew! I think that just means we will have to go back another time!
So here are some of her snaps- and you can check them all (there's a lot!!!) here : Studio Tour part I : part II
There's also a fun guide that we put together of tips if you are planning on going. I would just to add: DRESS UP! because it's more fun!!! And when you take photos, you'll look like you really belong. :]
My highlights were: Spending the day in Harry Potter land, haha! Hagrid's Hut, The Burrow, The Potter's House in Godric's Hollow (I cried when I saw it.), And the surprise at the end!!! There were just so many amazing things. Like- the potions classroom, and creatures department- we got to see Buckbeak. Aw! OH! And Remus Lupin's self-packing trunk. That was cool. And, if you couldn't tell, I'm definitely a Marauders Era fan. Give me Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs over the trio anyday. Thanks for these photos Amy. <3 kxo

On tuesday, Amy from Happy Daisy and I had a really lovely relaxing day in the sunshine. We knitted and crocheted all day, chasing eachother with little goals. It was such a good break from my stressing about college projects and Renegade prep and my health and all that. Just to work on something for myself and chat with a like-minded soul. Very nice.(Above photo from Amy)Also- I like to joke that we are twins. haha. She's lovely and humours me.One of the advantages of carrying a lot of colours of yarn with you, is that you can use it as a pillow! Then, of course we had to hang out at home a little bit, cause Negs wanted to play too...(Above photo from Amy)
Big loves kxo.
p.s. YES! I've been shooting Film again. <3 My Lomos and toy cameras and seeing the sun again.

Okay- here we go! This is a video exchange type thing where we ask and answer questions. :]
I filmed this back in May, but never got a chance to edit it until now. Sorry! Nevermind the fact that Jazz and I both look ridiuclous and act like little kids and there is a fair amount of running around and giggling and... Please don't take us seriously- we don't!
Sorry for all the background noise. I live in London, it's noisy. haha. (also Jazz is adorable and tiny.)
Just in case you couldn't understand us- here are the two new questions:
1. What disease would you cure if you had magic powers.
2. Any animal you would have, as a pet that can talk to you and be your side-kick and fight crime.
And some links:
A post by Love Elycia with the previous 2 videos.
We answered Q's from these ladies:
-Megan, A String of Purls.
-Rachel, Nearsighted Owl.
And I just have to add this adorable Vlog by everyone at NerdNest (we only saw this after we recorded).
Please join in with video responses or answers in the comments. :] Big loves. kxo

Last sunday we spent such a nice day relaxing. Sam played guitar all day and I drew and took some film photos and it was raining outside but it was nice and cozy inside. He inspires me so much. Good heart, good soul, good head and tons of talent and kindness. These instax were my favourite from the day. I love the look of them when they are scanned in/printed up big. Something about the soft focus & vignette of the LC-A plus the hit-and-miss of the instax. This bottom one speaks especially loud to me. Double exposures are my jam right now. kxo

I could visit the Victoria And Albert Museum 1000 times and never get bored of it. It's my favourite place to go and be inspired, and it makes a really nice day out with friends. My friend Jack (who does Big Sounds Radio- good tunes!!) was down visiting London, and he is really into Theatre, so we had to go and see the big Costume/Theatre exhibition. (It's up stairs next to the tapestry room if you fancy seeing it. Free!) Jazz came along too, because she loves the V&A too. They had a few walls full of old posters. I love learning about the old techniques and for example: Upper class theatres wouldn't use illustrations on thier posters for the longest time because they wanted to attract a literate audience. But circuses and variety shows would use images to illustrate what you might see. This was also useful because then the poster boys knew which way was up (back when lots of people couldn't read). Apparently lots of posters were pasted up upside-down!!! And Red ink was super fancy. They also have A LOT of historical artifacts, (like a broken Pete Townshend guitar!!!!) but probably the most impressive was this...Jack told me that Shakespeare was really protective of his plays, and would give each actors seperate scripts with just the minimal prompts so that no one could reproduce the plays. After his death a bunch of actors got together and pieced it all together put together these 'Folios' and if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have the classics! Mind blowing! While there I did a little bit of drawing...But mostly I was just soaking it all in. We sat outside for a bit before it started raining, and I tried Freelensing for the first time:Super fun day. Thanks for letting me share. kimxo

Hey, remember when I used to have a social life and take candid photographs of my friends and post them on here? Yeah- that used to be a regular thing on this blog. Actually- that's how I STARTED blogging. University and my health and other grown-up things have gotten in the way of that recently.BUT- I've had a friend of mine staying at my house (Sam, the red-head) and we've been constantly busy with old friends who have come to stay and visit. That and being able to have a break from Uni for the first time in 6+months has gotten me back into the swing of things.
It's a good feeling & I am so greatful for my beautiful, kind and talented friends (especially when they are so understanding about my health). Here are some odd moments and faces from June that I love. Here's to late night silly faces and hair moustaches. kxo

See my post on the first day we met here. We met up again a day later & decided to take it a little bit easier. We had lunch at Harrods and then went over to John Lewis. (They needed to do some tourist shopping.)We spent a long time in the yarn section of John Lewis. It was my first time there too. Then we headed to the park to do a bit of relaxing and knitting. It just felt like something we had to do while we were together. :] I drew out a pattern while Meredith ate some ice cream, and we both instagrammed. hehe. I dorked out a bit that we could check our tension in real life! haha. Turns out we knit pretty similarly, even if Meredith was pretty scared of the squirrels, and I think they are cute. :](Last photo from Mere's blog.) Thanks for a fun couple of days girl! <3 kimxo
p.s... I think you should move to London so we can knit everyday at lunch!
