For a few months in 2012, I was experimenting with video apps. One of the ones I liked, but never really caught on was Keek. Here are 14 videos (each 36 seconds long) that I took of random snippets of my life. They are essentially 36 second vlogs. Enjoy. :]
This video was also made during my A-level animation course at school. It was a test for multiple processes like using acetate and filming something backwards as well as cutout. When I look back at this, it makes me just want to play with stop motion again. This was done in a few hours using very simple techniques. If you've always wanted to try animation but never have- I say go for it!
Love, Kim xo.
p.s. remember to like & subscribe on youtube if you haven't already. I'm making this a regular thing. New videos every tuesday!
Okay, this is kind of a long video, but it's a Haul-type knitting themed thing. If you want to hear me chatting about the books, yarn and etc that I'm loving right now and see me pull stupid faces and say 'um' quite a lot... this is the vlog for you! Haha. Enjoy!
Probably the thing I get the most questions about is: Art School! That's cool cause I love art school, but it is a many faceted beast that is hard to tame.
I uploaded a vlog the other day that talks about setting standards for yourself and what happens when you don't meet them.
It's OKAY guys. Try your best & you'll be fine. Love you. p.s. Subscribe & like if you liked. :] it all helps! Thanks.
A new video on Youtube- a complication of little Vine loop videos. Some cats, some workspace, some of my silly face. :] Enjoy!
p.s. the videos were taken on my iPhone so the quality is pretty bad. I debated doing them all black & white for this... what do you think? Is it worth making these monthly compilations or...? I'd love your feedback. Also- if you're on Vine add me! (kimsmithhhappy)
Okay- here we go! This is a video exchange type thing where we ask and answer questions. :]
I filmed this back in May, but never got a chance to edit it until now. Sorry! Nevermind the fact that Jazz and I both look ridiuclous and act like little kids and there is a fair amount of running around and giggling and... Please don't take us seriously- we don't!
Sorry for all the background noise. I live in London, it's noisy. haha. (also Jazz is adorable and tiny.)
Just in case you couldn't understand us- here are the two new questions: 1. What disease would you cure if you had magic powers. 2. Any animal you would have, as a pet that can talk to you and be your side-kick and fight crime.
We answered Q's from these ladies: -Megan, A String of Purls. -Rachel, Nearsighted Owl. And I just have to add this adorable Vlog by everyone at NerdNest (we only saw this after we recorded).
Please join in with video responses or answers in the comments. :] Big loves. kxo
A few weeks ago, I spent a day in the sunshine with the Craftivist Collective. The video pretty much explains it all, so I won't say much here. I created a little Vlog/review for them about the day. There was also some pretty great music being played and there's a song at the end of the video performed by James Choice that I highly recommend listening to- plus some footage of the adorable animals at Spitalfields City Farm. And yes- as with any vlog where I am talking to a camera- there are some awkward bits. I embrace the awkward. haha. Hopefully my thoughts/speech are coherent enough. If you'd like to get involved, check out the Craftivists website here. They are a great bunch. Here are some screenshots from video and some snaps I took:

Spend 20 min with me today, and learn how to Tie & Dye your clothes the natural way- using dyes that can be found in nature & your kitchen!! If you learn best by getting all the facts and having a friend explain it to you then the first 10 min is for you. I talk about loads of important things (like mordanting and making your own rubber bands and how not to achieve zombie hands!) in a vlog format. If you learn best by just watching someone do it- then the last 10 is for you! A really pretty and detailed step-by-step video for the visual learners out there. All set to some beautiful music by Sam and Jack.STREAMING LIVE HERE at 13:30 (Not in London? See what time it is here.)
This has been my baby for the last 3 months. Endless dye experiments and hours of planning and tests and sleepless nights of editing. I REALLY hope you enjoy it. It's silly and fun and hopefully you'll learn something new. [: I don't want to give too much away yet, you just gotta watch it! But besides leaving with a nice little bit of knowledge on Natural Dying, you'll also know 3 different techniques of tie dye! See you there!

Hello everyone! Love, Elycia and I are doing a fun little video series where we ask and answer fun questions! Here are my first questions for Elycia (and YOU too, if you want to play along- just link in the comments to your video responses or answer them with written words. :] Also if you want to ask us questions- feel free!)- enjoy!
P.S. I do realise I said 'reading' when you are clearly 'watching' near the begining and another word slip-up near the end. I'm only human. haha.
